We understand that for many this pandemic brings great worry and uncertainty in many aspects of their lives and hope that by offering these online sessions they provide some practical guidance and support to help people manage these challenging times.
Our frontline healthcare staff are providing excellent physical care to those suffering from this disease, and our best scientists are working hard to provide us with medication and vaccines to help us fight it too. But we must not ignore the mental health and well-being of the general population, as for many of us self-isolation and social distancing is a testing time. Our sessions can offer a space for people to experience grounding and connection, discuss the challenges faced, and support each other at a time when solidarity is needed most.
We are launching this initiative now, in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic to support people at an unprecedented time of real threat, uncertainty, anxiety and disconnection. We hope that it will evolve to be a resource beyond these challenging times, offering practical tools and knowledge for participants to develop a sustainable mindfulness practice into their lives.
