Who am I?
I am a clinical psychologist working in an NHS Mental Health Trust in South East London. My role with OMC is as an Associate Teacher. I trained in MBCT in 2008 and have been providing groups in the NHS since that time.
What do I do?
Day to day I am the lead psychologist in an adult acute inpatient unit, I also work in the local community mental health teams. It is in these contexts I provide MBCT and other psychological therapies to secondary care NHS service users, carers and staff. Being secondary care the service users I work with present with a range of complexities including severe to moderate depression, complex trauma and interpersonal/personality difficulties. I run specific groups for under 25s, over 25s and couples groups (ie service users attending with a significant other).
