My motivation for attending the Summer School is mainly to deepen my own practice and gain both breadth and depth of knowledge in this area. I also hope to receive guidance on how to expand access to mindfulness for the various populations I work with. My biggest dream is for every teacher, every parent, and every student in the school and the community to learn about mindfulness. As I endeavour to bring mindfulness and mindfulness-based interventions to these populations, the wealth of knowledge gained will provide an anchor for me and serve to inform my practice as a clinical psychologist and mindfulness teacher for both young people and adults. This opportunity will also facilitate networking and open up new ideas for research in the field of mindfulness including possibilities which can contribute to the advancement of mindfulness in Singapore.
