Who am I?
I am an experienced BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Registered Mental Health Nurse, EMDR practitioner and MBCT teacher with extensive experience of working with people with depression, anxiety and severe mental illness within the NHS and in private practice over the past 22 years.
I have been practising mindfulness for over 15 years and for the last 10 years running MBCT groups for people with recurrent depression, anxiety and MBSR groups for people with chronic pain. I completed my PGDip in mindfulness-based practices at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University with a teaching certificate in 2017.
What do I do?
Within the NHS I currently run MBCT groups for people with recurrent depression who are in recovery and for mental health care staff to reduce stress and burnout and within private practice MBCT groups for the general population. I am also trained to deliver MBCT for life.
