Would you like to volunteer with our colleagues to support the mental health of our global communities via fundraising and grant capture? We are looking for volunteers to work with our Communications and Fundraising Officer to support us as we increase the momentum of our fundraising work.

The Opportunity:

At the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation (OMF) our mission is to work globally and collaboratively with international organisations. Our work is focused on a vision of a world in which there is universal access to mindfulness and a greater understanding and acceptability of the impact of mindful behaviour. Wider access to our services is achieved via donations and income captured through grants and fundraising.

Reporting to and working with the Communications and Fundraising Officer, volunteers will mainly support the exploration of available grant and other charitable funding opportunities in the field of societal mental health.  Working remotely with frequent contact with the Communications and Fundraising Officer, volunteers could contribute to the impact and ability of the OMF to serve underrepresented populations via capture of additional funding.  The current global landscape is diverse with environmental, economic, political and many other challenges impacting on the mental health of our communities across the globe, therefore our mission is for as many people as possible to understand the potential benefits of mindfulness on an international scale. With an established evidence-based programmes and an existing operational structure and global reach, the OMF is well placed to further increase our impact via raising our profile increasing awareness of mindfulness. This has never been more important.

 

Specifics:

  • Identify and review potential fundraising and grant capture opportunities
  • Communicate donation campaigns
  • Support the Communications and Fundraising Officer and the CEO with fundraising and grant applications.

The OMF team is a small and busy team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the mindfulness field.  This opportunity is part of our is an initiative to bring increase our volunteer team.in a volunteer to work to financially enable increased accessibility.  The OMF culture is professional, collaborative and service-oriented, and values transparency, flexibility, trustworthiness, energy and drive with a commitment to the wider vision to increase accessibility of mindfulness globally.

 

Additional Information

Location – Home-based

Hours – Voluntary basis – although an agreement on regular support would be most supportive for the OMF

Duration – No fixed term – although it is helpful for volunteers to remain for a minimum of 6 months to best understand the OMF and needs

Remuneration – Voluntary

Equipment – IT equipment and secure access to the internet is a requirement for this post.  This would be the responsibility of the volunteer
