News Round-up, Sunday 02nd August 2020

A review of some of our communications updates from our social media channels this last week.



On Monday we announced that we are looking forward to welcoming the new cohort of trainee teachers to our 11 month programme commencing in September 2020. The cohort of 36 trainees represents 11 countries as our online structure increases accessibility to OMC programmes. On Tuesday and Friday, we shared extracts from ‘Mindfulness: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world’ by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. We continue to offer our free weekly mindful practice sessions. They are held every Wednesday evening, 7pm – 8pm BST, via Zoom, require no prior mindfulness experience and provide the opportunity to be part of the OMC community. There is a participant limit set at 500, meaning we can comfortably accommodate all who attend. We look forward to welcoming you to a session soon. On Thursday we shared the final post in our mini-series of ‘Meditation Myths Dispelled’. Thursday’s post focused on awareness and how it can be positively influenced by mindfulness. The posts were put together using content taken from ‘Mindfulness: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world’ by Mark Williams & Danny Penman.
